I fall in love with this lens and it's so much fun to use as macro lens ..
Here the results from today, same combo as yesterday and same garden Very Happy

@trifox: I can't give you a tutorial, I'm a newbie, I can only give you some tips:
1/ lots of patience....
2/ a bit of luck....
3/ and for best results, you must not have Parkinson Very Happy ...

what do you mean by : "where is the CA" Embarassed ??

Excellent work, Pich. I like the creamy backgrounds of the first two, it provides a very effective contrast with the leaves.

an other sample with the SL 2/40 reversed on D700, under grey/cloudy weather Evil or Very Mad , about f5.6 and natural light:

Well I don't know how you don't disturb your subjects, I'd have thought that they would freak out with a lens that close. Smile

Do you use the 2/40 on top of another lens, or straight to the camera?.

You have to be very quiet and slowly approach the cam to the bug, focus with live view and max magnification and shoot when you have the head/eyes of the bug in focus if the bug is still there of course Very Happy ......it works quite easy with fly, dragonfly and bee but most of the other bugs does not allowed you to come that close......One day, I will have to get a real 100mm macro lens in order to have some more distance between the cam and the subject....

Thanks a lot for your kind comment Jes...for the fly, I have use the lens straight (reversed) to the cam and for the dragonfly, I have use some macro rings and the lens was indeed not reversed.....
