Just have to show you guys this whacky little spider ,it reminds me more of a crab than a spider... Smile It is only a little spider.

About 10mm give or take a few mm....I was not going to pick it up to measure it... Laughing I am tempted to poke it...but then it may be poisonous.. Rolling Eyes

Me either....I am wondering is it a garden spider like the Orb Spider...and will it grow larger?

Allow a comment: nature does not do "crazy" things, people do.
In nature it all has a sense or that genus would not have made it to survive.
We don't simple "get it" very often.. Wink

Type "australian spider" into your search engine and set it to "images". So the IE engine, Bing, gives pictures of your spider at ~ #50 & #125. The link to the 1st of these doesn't work for me but the 2nd picture gives a link which identifies the spider as the Australian Jewel Spider (Austracantha minax).

Thanks for the tips...there are a lot of interesting bugs/spiders/birds around here...it is always nice to know the name. Very Happy

I meant Crazy in its slang meaning= weird/strange.Something I have not seen before.
I am also glad I did not poke it the bite does not sound like fun... Laughing
