This lens is all over the Internet, sold under at least 10 aliases, but the design is distinctive and impossible to miss -

Here it is (right) with its 135/3.5 cousin (Sears brand, on the left, thank you Andy !). I've seen it sold as a Tele-Tokina, so thats what it probably is, a very early Tokina, probably from the mid to late 1960's, the height of the T2-preset third-party lens era.

Lentar was a distributors brand prevalent in the US for about a decade, late 1960's-early 1970's, and it seems most of what they sold was various types of Tokina, preset and automatic. But this lens can also be found as an Accura, Vemar, Hanimex, etc., the beginning of Tokinas status as the most prolific of the third-party makers.

Its a very standard T-mount preset, nicely and simply made, with a distinctive bulky tripod mount. Everything works, and there are no surprises, nasty ot otherwise.

As far as performance, this is a very nice lens in my opinion. Its sharp at f/4.5, and in general quite comparable for all practical purposes with my best 200mm's, within the limits of my sensor of course. Contrast is excellent, and it is extremely resistant to flare and glare.

Today we had a lovely blue mist on the water, well lit in bright sunshine on a sky cleaned by our recent rain, so all the blues were quite remarkable -

Chasing the great black&white whale, I'm still trying -

Hi Luis!

I like this lens. It seems to me that has a nice 3D, especially in N° 1 and 2. But all are very, very nice.

Tell my the truth, Have you mummificate birds at home? Laughing

Enjoy these beautifull lenses. Rino.
