Hi folks
Just a few quick shots I made today in less than ideal light. Seems like a very good lens to me.

This is the Hexar 3.5/135, the budget 135 in Konica's range. They also sold Hexanon 135s with apertures of 3.2 and 3.5, I have both of those, not really used them yet. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I like Bokeh as much as anyone, but that's only a piece of the larger picture, pun intended. |

I didn't take any shots that show the bokeh, it is not something that is very important with a 135mm lens on a NEX as it's a telephoto on an APS-C sensor and I would use a shorter lens for closeups. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

When I've finished sorting out the aftermath of my little car accident I'll try to shoot some shots that show the bokeh of this lens, but it is a case of we know it will be at least fairly good as all 135s have at least decent bokeh, it is a function of the focal length and depth of field more than anything else and 135mm is long enough that the dof at large apertures is shallow enough that the background will be rendered very soft as long as it is spatially separated from the subject. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Yes, I like the added pop of the mono one, the light was not great, hence the flatness of the less altered version. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Looks fairly sharp and free from CA, good stuff. Bokeh can still be important on a 135mm though, look at the Pentacon preset...it's fabulous! _________________ Graham - Moderator

I agree, bokeh is also an important factor, I have two copies of the 2.8/135 Pentacon and will never part with them, I just adore their bokeh. I also have a Meyer primotar 3.5/135 I keep just for it's painterly bokeh, it's not that sharp or contrasty but the bokeh makes it a keeper. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

+1. There is plenty of great 3.5-4/135mm lenses you can use with appropriate adapter without modification on 5D.
CZJ Sonnar 4/135mm
Leica Tele-Elmar 4/135mm (needs focusing helicoid)
CZJ Sonnar 3.5/135mm
SMC Takumar 3.5/135mm
CZJ Triotar 4/135
to name my favorite. _________________ .: APO-Maniac :. |

I will continue investigating, I really like the Hexar _________________ Canon 5D II-Sony nex 6
