Quite the ice storm we had. Amazing visuals. Photos definitely do not do it justice. The trees all had a glaze of ice more than 1/2 inch (1.25cm) thick. Oddly it was equal all the way around the branches and not thicker on the lower side. It was like they were dipped in clear glass. Down side was the weight brought down lots and lots of trees which caused a multitude of power outages in various neighborhoods. I was without power for 3 days. I have lived in Eugene for 25 years and never had power out for longer than 30 minutes. Some have 100% crops. Minor tweaks in GIMP. The lens is obviously very capable. Taken with the A7ii.

Devin those are some great images. Yes it was very icy in Eugene. Strange storm. My wife supervises a crew of employees and some commute from Creswell, all of 5 miles south. That employee told my wife she had no ice but driving to work was a line were the ice began. "It was like Zelda zapped things and froze them in ice" One of my coworkers lives 5 miles south on the other side of a small ridge from creswell maybe 2 miles from Creswell. He lost numerous trees and was without power for several days as well.

Yeah my boss who lives in a small subdivision about a mile out of town is still out of power. I guess they had dozens of breakages. Basicaly all over the place, some small and some big depending on where the feeder line got damaged.
