Hello, first post here.

I've acquired a Hoya HMC zoom/macro lens through an auction at er...bay. It came in a lot with a Pentax ME, SMC 50mm 1.7 (what I was really bidding for), a handful of other tidbits, and this Hoya lens. I've seen a few posts here about other Hoya's, but I'd like to know specifics about this one, as well as if it might be worth anything.

It's tough as the proverbial tank, and about as heavy as one too. It produces excellent images that are sharp, and have great color and contrast. It's in very good condition, and the zoom and aperture rings are smooth as silk.

Here are a few images of the lens itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the club Smile

I think the Hoya HMCs are good looking lenses. This one is interesting as it looks similar to the Tokina / Vivitar 35-105/3.5 close focus zoom...yet I thought Hoya made their own lenses...
