How did you manage to get so near the grasshopper? What is the insect in photo #2? Don't tjhink I have ever seen that before.

By the way, is there an APO version of Helios 44?

The APO Helios IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT finding ..

I have discovered THE same with my HELIOS 44-4 (6 blades click version)

IF someone will be trying to FORCE you buy APO lanthar -- please, tell them

thanks friends for nice comments
I was using bellows
it is long nosed weevil, less than 2cm
all helios are APO and doesn't have CA

Seems with 5D-II you can put any lens on it , result will be great like Trifox present all time. Perhaps I have to sell my lenses and by an 5DII and use it with cheap Russians. Excellent result!!

This is such a great little lens. Every bag should have one at $10. Pic #3 reminds me of why I like my copy so much.

These are awesome photos!

I can't see why anyone would ever spend hundreds or upwards of a thousand dollars for a lens when you can get these kinds of results!
