This was probably kit lens of a Zenith, now it's one of my beloved ones I've traded it for a AFC chip which means this cost me totally 8 USD, quite a bargain I guess
Indoor, with and without flash test samples, all of them are wide open. These samples are not for purists as I've trouble with my 5D about adjusting the right exposure so they are tweaked for my taste in lightroom: brightness, exposure, black levels but nothing has done for sharpening.
Models are:
- Super Takumar 50/1.4 ( M42 )
- Volna-3 80/2.8 ( Kiev-88 )
- Tamron 28/2.5 ( Adaptall )
- Fujinon 14-84/1.4 ( fujinon-TV ). I'll work on this interesting fast lens but I guess I'll be really hard to implement it for use with EOS.

Right now switching back to AF because of work needs but I still love the MF lenses |

I think i have the chance to win it for 1 USD. So with shipping added in, it should cost me abt 16 USD!

If one can buy that lens for a dollar, and we all agree it's a pretty good lens... what more proof does one need to see the market mechanism does not always produce rational outcomes? Just a philosophical sidemark, no intention to start a huge political fight or anything! |

I got a 44M attached to a Zenit for £1 plus £7.95 postage.
I gave it to the wife, but she's never used it.
I have though. _________________ Casual attendance these days |

I have a question for all...
Are there optical differences between the 44M, 44-2, 44-3, or is it just a cosmetic difference?
I own the 44M, would I see a difference with the 44-2 or 44-3?
I'm very curious and would love to see a comparison of these lenses. Has anyone done a shootout with these helios? |
