Hello, this is my first post in this section, please let me know what you think. Planar 1.4/85 MM, full frame (uncropped).

Hey cn,


I like the subject but I get very distracted by the two out of focus goats in the front and also one of them blocks the main subject.

Don't need to shoot everything wide open , because you can Smile, out focus foreground always a mistake or at least most of the case. If you would demonstrate wide open DOF on this picture, would better to focus on front goat and use F2 or F2.8 , bokeh will be same creamy with better composition and better sharpness of course.

Thanks for the replies. If I remember correctly, this was in fact shot at f/2, I rarely shoot that lens wide-open even though I can Smile

I don't want to start an argument, but I have to say that's not at all true as long as out of focus foreground is there on purpose.

And nice photo, I find it quite interesting. The only thing that needs some work is WB. There seems to be a purple cast.
