I got this for not much on the Bay; small, very light and looks good externally. However the focussing and aperture feel a bit rough and it has a rattle when shaken ! Confused

Anyway I just gave it shot out of the window (fully open at f4.5) (bright but hazy day here in DF) and was somewhat surprised.....

It's a classic triplet lens adapted from a folder camera (a lens head put on a long tube). Since it's a slow triplet (f/4.5), it's rather sharp (even if low contrast) wide open.

One of the rarer third party eastern block lenses, good lens if you select carefully subject, what is required a low contrast lens.

Never liked it, very low contrast.

Had one once, sold it in the very same day or one day later. No relation to performance ratio.

Yours is in prettier condition, enjoy it.

Well it is pretty so I think I will keep it. It may not be fast enough to give interesting bokeh, but lets see.

Does the red V have any significance ?
