Damm Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Embarassed

After finishing my first film roll using Zenit Olympic, I looked for a rewind bottom but I could not find one. Stupid as I am I thought the Russians had saved it, so I just started to rewind and UPS the film broke.

Well 36 pictures, notes right down the drain.

Anyone who would like to explain the correct way to unload the film, will be today's hero.

I did that with my second roll through the Retina - for some idiot reason I pushed the release pin in but didn't hold it... and proceeded to shatter the film.

My daughter, the first time she used the Fujica ST605, kept winding past the end, also breaking the film. With that however, we got the minilab to take it out of the camera in their dark room, so everything was safe after all.

Perhaps it works something like in this manual:

The Zenit cameras rewind button is near the winding lever (at least the Zenit E,EM,ET) and really looks like a button.

search for "film rewind release button" here

My Zenit is a Olympic black Zenit E

I just feel so bad over the lost of my pictures. But shit happens I guess, and there is a new day tomorrow.
