I agonized over buying this lens, because it cost a big chunk of my savings. I was afraid after all the Super-Six hoopla, it would turn out to be nothing special. Luckily I was wrong. I just can't get over the way this lens renders. I've got quite a few "bokeh" lenses, but none even approaches the way this lens looks. Of course I don't have the super-expensive Kino-Plasmats or Angenieuxes and whatnot, but I just adore this lens. I'm shooting with it on a Nikon D800E, but it supposedly covers 6x9, so someday I may have to try it with an old film body, but for now I'm happy. It's a bit strange that the lens is a Dallmeyer but marked in millimeters. Perhaps for the European market? I don't know, but I sure enjoy the images. Here's a sample--a large sample--excuse me, it's hard to choose :-0

(n.b.--just noticed that my pix exceed the max dimension. Excuse me! I will resize after this)

Awesome, fascinating and badass.

This is like why to use vintage MF lenses in a nutshell.

Besides, it makes me to miss Asia.

Are you about to inform us how much did you bleed at your wallet? Very Happy
