Even if not from this year (we have no snow , 15 °C !) I post this image from my town Flektogon 20/2.8 on Canon XTi braced on a monopod

These are all from last year in Salerno, southern Italy: every two years there's a kind of festival for christmas light makers, and all the city is decorated with thousands of different creations.

This is a hefty crop of a long exposure on the big manfrotto tripod.
D-810 at ISO 64, f11 at about 6 sec ( IIRC ) Nikkor 50mm f2 A/I.
Live view focused- my first.



High ISO's here. All of the rest of these were done with the then new to me 35-105 f3.5-4.5 nikkor zoom hand held.





This was a hurried session due to extreme cold, and the results show it...
