The more I'm using manual lenses, the more I'm enjoying the results.

A quick test with the new-to-me Carl Zeiss Tele-Tessar 135mm f/4..

Crop for detail (not 100%, I need to sort out an action or preset for this)..

I think I'm going to like this lens. It is (was) Rollei QBM mount, as per the QBM adapter thread I've replaced this with a non-chipped EOS mount. It was s fiddle, the 5-screw QBM mount has the aperture pin cam attached to it (the 4th and 5th screws) and contrary to all published instructions you must remove the aperture pin to fit the mount.

Thanks! I hope that QBM remains an unpopular mount for digital for a while yet. There are some very nice lenses available in this mount.

The additional difficulties of changing the mount rather than snapping on an adapter seems to deter people from trying these lenses. I almost regretted this purchase when I was half-way through fitting the mount as it was so fiddly. But it just requires patience and a steady hand - which was probably my problem, I don't have steady hands at the moment (over-active thyroid).

No worry people learn slowly, QBM will be remain not popular.
