I support that. The Fujinons are stunning, but i never had the 50mm and doubt that it is better than this Canon. Maybe just as good, but not better 
(The Fujinon 75mm f/1.8 is the best C-mount 75mm I´ve had and I bought it thanks to Ians samples)
