Hi,

my first attempt using a manual lens with a digital camera was a macro rig with Canon FL Bellows + EL Nikkor 50 mm 2.8 enlarging lens on a Canon EOS 400 D. I am very happy with the results. Together with a very simple diffuser in front of the built-in flash I shot these pics:

wow! superb results claesh! some magic images
go buy a 40D with liveview and save your eyes, the 400D viewfinder is too bad

Thanks. I have been thinking about that but I fear that liveview + bellows would quickly result in a very dusty sensor. I already have more dust than I ever had before because of a few experimental bulb shots.

A better viewfinder would be great though.

Very nice shots!

#2 is very, very beutiful.

I wouldn't worry too much about the dust on the sensor with 40D.
I had a 40D and i had no problems with dust, the built in sensor cleaning does work.
No I use a 5D and I have dust on the sensor _all_ the time. Very big difference. Sad

Killer photos. The first one and the bee are my favorites. They are all good.

That nikkor el lens is one of the sharpest I have in my collection. Great samples
