I couldn't resist -- It was impossible ...

150 GBP ... on ebay...

So I have got TWO 300 mm lenses..

- 2 UD glass elements,

- internal focusing,

- extremely light lens...

- focusing is EXTREMELY SMOOTH - my initial thought was that the focusing ring is damaged but it's not Smile

Oh TF, you are addicted to Fine Drug. Be careful, I warned you. Laughing

Well, congrats nice acquisition. You have put together a great collection of FD L glass indeed.

Cheers, Marty.

The FD 300/4 L was overshadowed by the 300/2.8 L, but is just as good IMO as the 300/2.8 when it's stopped down to f/4. Plus, it's a helluva lot lighter. Great lens. Post some pics, please, once you've had a chance to use it.

yes!!

FD 300 F4 L -- 2 ultra-D elements
FD 300 f2.8 L - 2 ultra-D elements + 1 fluorite element-- it must be better..
