Can you mount the Hoodman loupe 3.0 to the NEX?

I just got the NEX-5n today. I emailed Hoodman and they said the cinema strap will not hold it on because there's not enough of the body hanging off of the left side. Is there a way to mount it to the LCD without having to hold it? I need one hand to hold camera and trip shutter and the other to focus.

It looks like Hoodman doesn't want to sell "cinema straps" for the NEX.

Not sure if it would work on your NEX the same as in my NEX-5, but it works for me by crossing over the straps:

The only problem with the 3" Hoodman in my NEx-5 is that the screen is a little smaller than the Hoodman window and some light enters from the top. Otherwise, really fine for sunlight shooting.

Hope to have been of help.

Jes.

Thanks Jes that really helps. I'm going to the local camera shop and pick up the loupe. They don't have the cinema straps now, so I'll order from B&H.

The camera store did have the cinema strap, so I'm all set. Maybe I'll email this photo to Hoodman.

I ordered NEX-Nikon tilt adapter and NEX-Pentax adapter on Ebay. When I get those in and get a second battery I'll be good to go!!
