Bokeh of wide-angle lenses

In all bokeh threads is a lot of samples from 50-200mm lenses. Of course, they have the best bokeh characteristics, smooth transitions, nice OOF lights...

But what about wide lenses? Most of them doesn't have bokeh to kill for, but some of them are better than others.

Could I ask for some nice samples? Smile Or all samples, not only the nice ones Wink

Something for start:

Schneider-Kreuznach Curtagon 35/2.8 (@2.8 )

Vivitar (Komine) 28/2.8 (@2.8 )

S-M-C Takumar 28mm f3.5:

S-M-C Takumar 35mm f2:

So far I hardly have used my wide lenses, only have taken a few photos with each,
those two are the only ones with OOF areas,
but I hope they do show the lens's performance

cheers,
kuuan

No. I don´t possess it.

I like the Vivitar 28 / 2.5 very much.
It is solid built.
It has an excellent picture quality (very good resolution and great color rendition).
With "2.5" it is available-light usable, because it is very sharp even wide open.
Furthermore the minimum focal distance is with 30 cm very handy.

To illustrate, another sample of the Vivitar 28 / 2.5 (unfortunately not fitting for the topic "bokeh"):

Samples from Accura Diamatic YS 2.8/35.
Even underastimated, cheap - great lens if you use original adapter. I like it special regarding odd "like Helios" bokeh. Pretty sharp wide open.

Lots of good samples in here. One thing I like Zeiss for is producing wides with extremely close focus distances, making unique perspectives available. The T*25/2.8 Distagon is the closest I have used at 0.17m.

Here are some samples from the Zeiss T*25/2.8 Distagon ZK

One of my first shots with my Leica and Voigtlander 35/1.9:

And here's one from earlier in the month with the Nikon-mount Vivitar 35/1.9:

Am I right in thinking that nice bokeh is normally easier to make a close focusing distances, when the distance between the camera and the subject is relatively small compared to the distance between the subject and its background?

ha ha ha, I really appriciate your comment.

I think this lens can make 3D as Zeiss if we select the angle of light for the subject.

Yes, you are right. Practically is possible to make bokeh using every kind of lens under one circumstances - move as close as is possible to the object and try to take quasi macro shot. BG suppose to be "not busy", some lights make nice impression.

"Making" the bokeh
#1 Arsat 3.5/30, BG very busy, unpleasant

#2 Crop from photo above, better impression but still manipulation, unpleasant

#3 Tamron SP AD2 2.8-3.8/35-80, many viewers like very much such BG

#4 other example

#5 Helios 40, one from the best lens in my opinion, but photo below is still manipulation

#6 Tomioka Yashinon 1.2/55, "3 plans shot", first - rear side of laptop screen, second - group of people, third - wall with paintings - no bokeh at all

#7 The same lens, average shot, bokeh develops "by itself", because of lens performance
