Used BluTack (the reusable putty like stuff for mounting pictures to walls etc) as a temporary adapter on a large format lens to fit my a7ii.

Its quicker and cleaner than tape and will hold smaller shorter lighter lenses only. I just made a rope of the stuff looped into a circle and pressed between the available surfaces. Completely reversible.
