A quiet Sunday morning till a flock of black cockatoos decided to visit my street. I haven't seen them in my street before so it was a pleasant surprise. Had to quickly pop the Bigma onto the K20D so I could get a few pics before they buggered off.

Good God, but they're ugly-looking carrion birds!

How do you differientate them from common vultures?!?

Um they are actually big parrots and feed on seeds and stuff like that. Think of them as an ugly cousin of Atilla's grey parrot..

The white ones are prettier,they also have the black with the red......I like the vulture comment.... Laughing

MoFo excuse his ignorance, mind you if the ever decided on being carrion eaters those beaks would do some nasty toe cutting damage.
