The 2.8/50 Tessar is a great lens, some may disagree, but the late, black barrel examples have been the best for me. Sharper, and more contrasty than the earlier zebra or aluminum barrel versions. I spent a long time trying to find one in exakta mount (the black barrel didn't come out until after the end of Exakta production, and were relatively rarely sold on the Exa cameras, consequently very few around) but it was worth it. Really nice lens for close up work too.

Oh yeas, the Tessar is of course a classic. It's got wonderful soap bubble bokeh too, if you're looking for that.
