Bardi Castle

Bardi is a municipality on the hills of Parma province, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
It is strategically placed on a hill commanding the valleys of two rivers, and some very important middle ages commercial routes linking the Western Po Valley to the sea, and some pilgrim routes from northwestern Italy to Rome.
Bardi hosts a beautiful Castle, built in 9th century on top of a red Jasper spur.

#1 - Industar 50 P (sadly I forgot to carry any lens longer than 50mm, and I had to use the old industar which was in the bag mounted on my zorki 3: not the most suitable lens for this shot, but better than nothing)

nice series, how do you compare the distagon 35 with the flektogon 35/2.4?

I don't know if I have a preference, I'm liking both lenses very much.
Also, I got the flektogon (mine is in PB mount, so one of the latest versions) relatively recently, and I haven't yet thoroughly compared the two lenses, however I have some impressions:

The distagon looks sharper at wider apertures in the corners, while center sharpness is comparable (maybe with a slight advantage for the flek).
Coatings - better, flare resistance, is similar. My qbm distagon isn't marked as hft or anything, and the flektogon surprised me under this regard. Probably a contax distagon with T* coating would win this aspect hands down. The flektogon focuses closer, which is a very nice feature, and has a more peculiar bokeh - which I don't know if it's good or bad, while the distagon has more western-zeiss-ish micro contrast, which is something I really like, and that bit of 3d pop, in the right circumstances.
All in all, now that I think about it, I may have a slight preference for the distagon, but I'm not really sure, and I was really surprised by how well the flektogon performed - it even looks well built, which is something quite unusual for jena lenses ;).

Thanks Teo, the castle is really worth a visit, if you find yourself in this part of Italy.
I'm still waiting for the first roll i shot with the zorki to be developed, and I really hope it worked out well as the pure act of shooting with that camera is extremely rewarding.

Ahhhh! That wonderful Emilian landscape! Marvellous!!

I remember that castle. Orio went there with me in 2011. Impressive location. And great shots!

Indeed , shooting with these cameras is per se something nice . Unfortunately , My 2C gives me problems when rewinding the film back in the canister.I was forced last time to cut it and extract it in darkness ...very rewarding , indeed , when this is done well ! Laughing
