Thanks, bokeh is relative to your personal taste

You meant "The Shrek" love these old Yashicas . I like the busy bokeh; depending on the how the light interacts with the background, the shape of the background image , the set aperture and the distance of the background in question- for most lenses.

Very nice lens, the sharpness and bokeh of the thistle shot is superb.
I've started collecting Yashica ML lenses - 2.8/28, 2.8/35, 2/50, I overlooked the earlier Yashinons but judging by this lens that was a mistake.
I agree the cheap manual lenses are disappearing fast, prices on ebay have noticeably risen in the last 6 months with lenses you could get for 5ukp not long ago fetching many times that in many cases, now you have to find the auctions with bad descriptions and poor photos to find the bargains. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I view the forum from my workplace 90% of the time, where a number of image sites are blocked, so the images posted from Flickr do not show.
I'll try to post an image of mine tonight when I get home, as mine is on my Flickr thread and once again, I'm without access. _________________ Casual attendance these days |

Use a non-flanged adapter with this lens.
I haven't been able to find the lens diagram yet, but the lens was definitely made for the Yashica Penta J series of cameras. A 35mm and 135mm were also available:

eBay has a plethora of options, regardless, you can always file the flange off on any of the adapters you find. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...
