100% crop ?

Wow.

Excellent quality wide open when I see the last one, and nice bokeh at all apertures .

It seems this lens is very good.
I'm wondering what's the influence of your camera body... Are all glasses good with a 1DsMkIII ?

Thanks Rolf Smile

Hi Oliver,

I have a lot of different MF lenses. Best one for me with 1DSMKIII and 5DMkII as well are Takumare, Leitz and some Russian lenses. With Olympus lenses I have a lot of problems, but this seems mainly a problem with the af confirm chip which may be damaged at the present adapter.

Sorry, I don´t own CZ lenses, so they may be also (very) good with these cams.

Due to the 21MP you have a wide range of crop and for pictures for the web it is more than enough.

The af confirmation works better with the 1DsMKIII against the 5DMKII.

I have also a Pentax 200D. With the onboard antishake and the onboard af confirmation also a good alternativ special for M42 lenses. I got this cam new for less than 300 € and for this price the cam and the results are great.

But in total it is really a great pleasure to work with the 1DsMKIII and the old lenses and the results in term of quality are significant better.

Very fine samples Rolf. Interesting for the comparison of very similar lenses

Hello Rolf.

Do you mean between
1- the Pentax 200D and the Canon 5D MkII ?
or
2- between the Mamiya and the Jupiter ?

If 1, I find the 5D MkII pics better, but the light at the moment of the shot seems better too.
If 2, well, on my screen, it seems the Jupiter is better wide open than the Mamiya.

Have a good day.
Olivier
