Attractive Lenses - Please Share

For most of us a lens is a utilitarian object whose sole purpose is to act as the medium between the subject and the camera so that an effective image can be captured.
Occasionally some lenses also display pleasing qualities that make them look attractive as objects themselves.
Sometimes the attraction can also be found in the ergonomics and feel of a lens in use.
This thread is for such lenses.
Feel free to share your experiences.
I'll kick us off with the lovely Yashinon DX line.
Cheers
OH

No new member any more, I'm allowed:
@ Oldhand I very appreciate the start of Your theme!
Of course nearly all my lenses are attractive, otherwise I would not collect them. Rolling Eyes

Let me start with some croppy pictures here made immediately after I read this, it's 6:50 am here in Germany, so excuse picture quality and non cleaned lens with dust on:

The Kern-Macro-Switar 50mm (older version 1.8, later 1.9 max stop) is unique in several points: focusmount turn approx 2 1/2 turn = 900° (!) to reach min distance of 28cm. It's apochromatic corrected and one of the most wide opened lenses for macro at all.
I eagerly love the depth of field indicator: closing aperture causes a movement of these golden points You can see on the pictures: the closer the aperture = the more points You can see.

Very unfortunately the Macro-Switar was never a bargain, but todays prices increase up to 2.000$ for this gem, thanks got I have mine!
If You want to observe the depth of field indicatror, have a look to Kern lenses for 8mm cameras, there are Switars, Yvars etc. which also show this golden point movement.
If You want know how (astonishing simple!) this impressing gimmick works, have a look at pg. 29:

Several other attractive lenses will be posted in the next week, if allowed Embarassed

So many to choose from...

Takumar lenses (M42-versions, all metal) are at the top of my list. I like the little window over the focusing distance (to avoid having the entire barrel "littered" with numbers) and of course the smoothness of the focusing ring. Metal lenses tend to scuff quite easily, as opposed to those with rubber-clad focusing rings, but well kept metal lenses are a treat to behold.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Two of my best looking lenses have been described by people as the ugliest lenses they have ever seen. Here's one of them. I didn't see the point of 160mm-equivalent tilt lens so I no longer used it since I turned digital. However I couldn't bring myself to part with it. I though I paid a lot for it way back when but I could hardly believe the price people asked for it nowadays.

By the way, silver lenses seems to be perceived as more attractive? Perhaps because they look more exotic?

Oh, I see, it has to be manual focus lenses! Embarassed
The lens that I will show, the CZJ 200mm F2.8, is well known by many people, so I will present only the reflections of light from the multicoating.

Just recently picked up these two Sankyo Kohki Komura family members. Little brother 135/3.5 and big brother 135/2.0. Mechanically they are so solid and smooth, and I think they look great too.

I think we have to be careful with publishing images that were not taken by ourselves!
Even if those blus eyes are amazing, do you have the permission to post that image, Gerald?

Back to topic:
There are some fantastic lenses here in this thread.
As for my collection, I could not say which ones are the most attractive ones. It depend on my mood. Sometimes I like the silvery one, somtimes I like black cylindrical ones and at other times I prefer a cone shape.
