Hi!
We have a German-speaking sub-forum now!
Attila asked me to be administrator there.
Can you refuse an offer by this nice guy? No, of course not.
So, after I have arranged and furnished the forum, I'd like to invite all the German speaking members to join the German sub-forum as well.
Maybe you know a friend who is interested in manual lenses but is afraid to join this forum since he doesn't speak English well, that's his (or her) chance!
Here you are: http://forumde.mflenses.com/
Thanks for this opprtunity, Attila!

That was not bad at all.
Every German would understand you and this is what it is all about, isn't it? You only got parts of the grammar wrong.
In standard German you would say:
"Bitte besucht unser deutschsprachiges Forum!"
(If you know the persons.)
or
"Bitte besuchen Sie unser deutschsprachiges Forum!"
(If you don't know the persons.)
It is politically correct to say "deutschsprachiges Forum" (German laguage forum) instead of "deutsches Forum" (German forum), because there are people in Austria, Switzerland and other countries who speak German but are not German.
So, you see, German is a difficult language.

Hi, Jigt and welcome to this forum.
You're very welcome to join the German language forum as well. Maybe to practise your German writing?

That's right!
"Besucht" in the sense of "Ich habe dich besucht." (I visited you.)
But "besucht" also is the plural imperative form of the infinitive "besuchen" (to visit). This imperative is btw the reason why the verb is at the beginning of the sentence, quite uncommon in German.
"Besucht unser Forum" means "visit our forum" as in an order or, more polite, a request towards people you know. A polite form would also add "Bitte" (=please).
"Besuchen Sie" is the polite form for persons you don't know.
In Elizabethan English these two forms of addressing people also existed: "you" (intimate, in German "du") and "thou" (formal, polite, in German "Sie"). But not the "sie" as in "they" or "she"...
Oh boy, it's hard not to get confused, even as a native German...
As far as I know, there is a similar differentiation in Spanish, but nobody uses it.
