I found this unused roll of Agfapan Vario-XL 120 floating around the bottom of a camera bag and decided to see if it had any life left in it.
It's expiry date was 1983 - so it is only 33 years out of date. Laugh 1
It is so old that there are cracks in the emulsion, however here are a few images from it.

It's like a mandatory Instagram filter. Laugh 1
I like the tones and contrast in the first image.

I've shot many rolls of expired film, but never had cracks like these! I actually like it!

Thanks - yes it does have an old world look to it doesn't it.
Maybe someone can create a pre-set overlay for LR or PS that generates random cracking like these Smile

Roll finished and off to the lab tomorrow.
Unfortunately it has to be sent away for processing and the results take three weeks.
Patience is still a virtue Smile

Thank you Klaus. I am surprised by the resilience of the film after such a very long time.
I spent some hours today down in the river upstream from where we live. My son came too and took this image of my camera when I took a break for coffee Smile
The Agfapan shots were all taken via the Bronica.

I too have a Bronica (ETRSi) with 2.8/75mm since 2 weeks and just received a 3.5/150mm.
I didn't have time until now to give it a try.
Dilemna now :Fuji Across 100 or Kodak TMax-400 ?
or I have some old rolls :
- ORWO SchwarzweiB Negativfilm NP27 400asa made in GDR... so minimum 26 years.
- Ilford FP4 Plus 125 exp date Oct 2003
- Kodak Ektachrome 100 Plus exp date march 2004

I asked for your son's camera because of the square format.
You look fantastic ! Like 1 small

Thank you for the compliment.
I am sure that he has cropped this shot - I think maybe a 100mm Canon FD was the lens, as I saw him using it during the day.
I don't have any TMax but the Fuji ACROS is very good, two stops slower though, and that might make a difference.
The FP4+ should also be very good.
I am making all my mistakes with my out of date film Smile before I start on the fresh rolls - Laugh 1
I was shooting with the 40mm PE lens last Monday and it is shown in the photo.
I have the 75/2.8 in an EII and the 150/3.5 in the older MC
#2 in the first series was shot with the 150mm as was #2 in the second series.
#1 in the second series was shot with the 75mm

These are very good lenses as far as I can see on your shots.
I should do like you do : write the shooting conditions on a notebook.
Thank you Thomas.

PS : your avatar seems to come from the same session and your son's A7. Wink

Can't wait to see the images from the Bronica upstream.

The lens on the A7 for the shots of Oldhand was Nikkor*ED 400mm f5.6. Smile

Hi Thomas' son. Wink
Does the A7 look tiny and unbalanced with that long gun ?

Thank you very much Thomas.

Because of rolls age, did you increase exposure time, or set a higher Iso on the lightmeter to adjust the exposition, or did you set the light results without any compensation ?
