it's an autofocus lens but I can only use it manually (cheap adapter Wink ) aparture lever can be manipulated with a ring on the adapter but you don't know exactly what F stop you are using.

Very nice samples. It's an ok 50 lens for sure, I use to have the Sony version. But manual focus is a pain with these Minolta/Sony AF lenses.

It sure is, its focus ring is almost non-existent and so hard to use! Any lesser results I blame on this. If you manage to get the focus just right this lens is pretty sharp even wide open. Contrast surprised me as well. These photo's were only sharpened slightly after resize.
