I have just received an eBay bargain at $61 US - A Canon 85mm f1.8 in FL mount. It may take me a while to try this out and post some pictures as there is no adapter available for 4/3 series cameras and I am forced to use a film camera instead. I am notoriously bad at finishing off rols and getting them developed. (I do not quite know why there is no adapter as I was sure Canon FL and FD lenses have a longer register distance so there should be little problem creating an adapter for it. )

Anyway who has experience of this lens and knows what it is like? Canon lenses generally have a great rep. and the 85mm f 1.8 in Leica thread mount is especially well rated but I have no idea about the one in FL mount.

PS just checked. Its 42mm compared with 38.67. Normally this may be enough but the FL locking ring takes some space and may preclude infinity focus.
