Well, freely admitted, I got my ass kicked pretty bad on the nighttime shots
I posted awhile back. No worries, the mud that was slung easily showers off . I've recently shot (daytime)
a roll of slightly expired Fuji Superia 100 in this 6x9 box camera:
http://www.mattdentonphoto.com/cameras/agfa_synchrobox.html
It has tripod mounts on both portrait and landscape sides and a shutter release port that my Contaflex shutter release works in just fine! (I've
finally bought enough junk to where I can cobble a few things together).
I'm curious to know what a 105mm focal length on a 6x9 camera equals to a 35mm FF camera. It seems to be a fairly wide angle.
For nighttime shots using 100 ISO film, what would be a good range of
shutter speeds using a tripod and shutter release?
I found this guys work with a Brownie Hawkeye rather amazing:

Thanks in advance for any help given. I can use 400 ISO film, too, but
read that 100 ISO has less grain/noise problems, just use longer shutter
speeds.

Using the standard 6x9 frame size = 56 mm x 82 mm gives an equivalent FL = 46 mm.

That guy knows how to use the hawkeye Bill.
I have a hawkeye with flash and a old camera that has a bellows on the front of it somewheres that my folks gave me when I was a kid. I stopped using the one with the bellows probably 30 years ago because it was hard to find film. They both looked like they just came out of the package. I saw them about 15 years ago. I must ask my wife if she has any idea where we stored them. _________________ Ron |

Thanks, Veijo! So normal range lens, then.
Ron, would be curious to see a pic if you find the cam.

I have a couple of Hawkeye's (1 with a flash), but I do not think my photos would come out that nice. _________________ Michael Hill |
