Film came back mounted, even though it was requested unmounted, oh well.
So I couldn't use the nice ANR glass from Betterscanning. Will rescan the
first shot other side up to see if that will get rid of the Newton ring on the
leaf. First two shots were using the Sigma 28/2.8 Mini Wide, not sure what
I used in the third:

Need to find a wider hood for these wide angle lenses when shooting FF
35mm.

Nice. You really have a much better miniwide then I had. Mine was a POS to the highest degree of stink.

Thanks for your comments Ron and Andy! I'll be reworking the first one and
change it out this weekend.

Here's one of the nymphal shell pics using the micro-nikkor 105/4:

From the same roll, Sensia 100. Yep, some spots I missed.

Well damn, even I like them! Laughing

I like #2, the grass makes for an interesting composition.

Thanks for your comments, Mike, but have to tell you, I've been using you
for a litmus paper test in an inverse way: If you don't like something about
one of my pics, I feel I nailed it, and if you do like something...well, you
get the picture. Laughing

I'll now have to go over these pics very closely to see what's wrong with
them. Actually, there's a lot that is, and the only ones I'm halfway happy about
are the first two, Newton rings and all. Wink Smile

Thanks again,

Bill

Wow, very natural colours, Bill...
I like all them, but the first and third seem to be a little short on light.
Second is superb, nice composition and light.

Jes.

Jes, Poilu, and Attila, thanks for your comments. This is my first roll of slide
film since when I was a boy in my teens.

Jes, I'll rework 1 and 3 this Sunday, I was in kind of a hurry when I posted
these.

Thanks again, and I can now see the hype about slide film, even cheap
Sensia has its moments.

Very nice shots, I particularly like the first one.

Sensia seems to scan well too.

Thanks, Richard, and yes, it seems to scan well. This shot is a little more
difficult for a flatbed scanner to do because of the highlights. Another damn
wet leaf pic:

Using the Nikon micro-nikkor 105/4 at f5.6 if memory serves. Right after a
rain with the sun poking out. Pic is uncropped, like most of these, just
resized. I used Bibble + PS, but didn't have to do much in either program. Really like the color rendition in these scans.

Ron and Attila, thanks for your comments. I think this 38+ years old camera
did pretty well, especially since I was using Sunny 16 for metering, kind of
a big no-no when using slide film. I had to throw out my Gossen Scout II as
it wasn't showing more than 2-3 in full sun! Got another cheapie off ebay that
seems to be pretty accurate. I need to break down and spend some real
money on a good lightmeter, like the Gossen DigiSix.
