Nice pics, brillants colors. May be not so sharp. Did you use F/11 or 16
too?. This F/ could be sharper. Let us see more pics, please.

Okay gentlemen, finally got a tiny bit of sun so here are 3 more test shots with Mir 47, all in manual mode at f16 and going from full size image to 100% crop
and next
and at 100%
Also an earlier one from same distance approx 0.3m/ 1 foot at f16
As for distortion no pics but from what I have seen, and bearing in mind the camera is 1.5 crop, there appears to be virtually none. Its maybe not as sharp as my Zenitar but ample for my needs and as with most Russian lenses the colour rendition is wonderful. Thanks for looking |

For me, the color looks very "russian". I like it.
I really wish there will be a comparason between Mir 47 and Mir 20M, as well as the Mir 73N (arsat). _________________ Canon 5DII + Canon 5D + Canon 350D + Pentax MZ10 + Pracktica BX20 + Mamiya 1000TL + Yashica TL Electro X + Yashica FR1 + Pentax ES II

Difficult to know it was a toss up for me too between Mir 20 and 47, I went for the 47 because it is a stop faster and its growing on me as I get the chance to use it. The only downside is that its a BIG lens it towers over a Zenitar and has a front like a radio telescope
Here it is on my samsung which is not a small camera , maybe the Mir 20 is a better solution if you want an undamaged spine |
