Have you considered Minolta Rokkor 58/1.2?

PostPosted: Mon Aug 04, 2008 1:58 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Yes, sure. I heard lot of good thing about that.Problem with Minolta lenses for me easy to buy them and hard to sell. I can't finance all testing without sell. Another problem if I found a really good one, really hard to sell also Wink

You will easily sell an EOS-adapter version of the Rokkor. They are building up their own legend at the moment!

All I have in "normal" focal length is Mamiya Sekor 55/1.4 and Industar 50/3.5. The Mamiya is overall better, so it's my current favorite. But the Industar is certainly no slouch!

Industar is a wonderful little lens.

are there any special considerations to make here?
Will a simple Minolta->EOS adapter work (without correcting glass)?

My "normal lens"...The one I have on the camera that I use the most...Would be the Tokina SZ-X 70-210mm f/4-5.6 macro compact ("red ring") zoom that's on my Nikon F3HP...That is one smooth, sharp lens!
