Nice smoothly changing ramps of colour, good atmospheric image.

I agree with Chris, his description sounds better than mine. Makes want to walk out on the dock.

Nice shot. Looks like the boat is waiting early morning for someone to go fishing.

Holy Cow! I love this.

The low-key mood, the bits of moving grass blades in the foreground, the overall timbre of the brooding sky - ALL combine to make this a beautiful tome of light and shadow, Bob.

The particularly fine tone of almost cerulean blue in the boat is a fantastic contretempe to the grays and blues of the rest of the image.

Compositionally, the obtuse angle of the dock, with the small angle to the left, and the larger angle to the right - which allows for the boat to balance against the mass nicely - keeps me from noting any symmetrical bounds. Rather, I like the assymetrical bounds that you've produced here.

There is a mysterious and enigmatic feel to the image, not the least of which is the painter leading off out of the left side of the frame. It begs me to question what it is attached to. VERY nice.

Topping it off is the viable gold-toned highlights at the left edge of the dock, mimicked by the same sort of highlight at the right edge of the boat. Subtle, soft, and beautiful.

This image has a TON of interest. This image makes me want to go find the old watercolors and try to emulate what you have produced!

Your work is spectacular.

Fantastic Bob. I love your composition and choice of DOF. How long was this exposure. There is some very pleasant motion in some leaves and on the water. Yet the boat is quite still. You should be truly happy with this one. Cool

Love the shot and agree with above comments, but what is a Coral here,
the boat?

yes the name is on the rear of the boat Coral probably clearer in the large version) I think this was about 2 second exposure, I wanted to go more but even with the polariser on this is all I could get at 100 ISO and F22 (evening sun was setting but still quite bright. I would prefer the water to be completly blurred, I may go back on a moonlit night and try another shot.
