I've been fascinated by enlarger lenses recently. A friend has an enlarger with an El-Nikkor 135mm lens. I put it on my 40D a couple of weeks ago using bellows and was really impressed. Sooooo
I bought a Schneider Krauznach 150mm enlarger lens (26USD)

Here's one of the first shots on the 40D with bellows, an observatory at the university in my town.

It's edge to edge focus is pretty amazing. I will have to work with this lens on a couple of issues, hard to focus, very low contrast but I think it will be worth it.

Cheers

Jules

For the price, he he. It has 36 blades in the iris and I will check out the bokeh this weekend. Cant be too bad.

One issue is that it's F5.6 max so it's a dark lens but it will be good for portraits and landscapes. It's also an M39 mount but the 39-42 rings are cheap also.

Those Schneiders are good, and yes the iris is awesome. Unfortunately mine is a 35mm (good for half frame enlargement) and so is iffy on a bellows.
