We still haven't figured out how gravity works, either. We are aware of the cause and effect, and the rest is still in the theory stage.
There's a bit of a list of factors to the creation of a snowflake. It has been said that no two snow flakes are identical twins, either.
I agree on the imagery! The copy-right signature stuff would work way better away from the subject, though.

Why must be? My intuition tells me that once seeded, the growth proceeds according to the "vibration" of that growth communicated throughout the crystalline structure.
