Cheap lenses with low quality. I never bought any of them.

I own this lens in the first metallic version , named Lithagon. Not my best 28 mm .you have to stop down to f/8 mini to minimalize some issues such as distorsion ,low contrast. but due to his compacity , I use it on M39 bodies like zorki, fed , and ...leica , with the appropriate adapter. This plastic version in the ebay announce is under the pentacon 2,8/29 or the Meyer Lidyth .

Enna lithagon 3,5/28mm on Leica IIIa :

100% crop , right low angle , f/11

I can swear I had one of them. But I can't find it anymore so either I sold it or lost it, which ever it is, it can't have been good or it would be in the cabinet. Wink

I had three Enna lenses.

ENNA München Tele-Ennalyt 4.5/240: Quite a good performance, but it has some problems with the aperture blades.

Enna Tele-Ennalyt 1:3.5/135: Really a good performance (but then, it's a 135mm!) but not a very solid feel to it!

ENNA Ennalyt 1:3.5/28 : I sold this one, because I did not really like it.

The seller describes it as "nebelig?" (=foggy). This can easily be fungus. Be careful.

Nebelig ... Ennalyt plastics lenses have the same problems : oily internal elements faces , due to helicoid grease evaporation and consensation.. I cleaned 6 ennalyt lenses on 7 ... ! Isopropylic alcohol with micro fiber cloth.

Thank you for "warning"!

I`ve decided, to choose only zeiss (jena), meyer and pentacon by german lenses. Idea

Enna looks to cheap, like Hanimex or Beroflex.

Thank you all -
regards Peter

Don't forget Schneider-Kreuznach.

There have been at least 4..5 different series of Enna lenses, very differently made and different perfomance- The palstic ones were the last ones made when Enna went downhill. I know the former chief developer and what has been said here about these lenses is simply The blind talking about seeing. Very sorry, but that needed to be said. Maybe a little bit more research (Google - ever heard about that?) reveals a lot more info. Remember the wide angle tests I published? Most likely already forgotten I guess, so why bother...

I also identified Enna lenses only with latest plastic ones = crap. If you able to make Enna lenses clear to us , please do it. It would be very useful, many thanks in advance!

I guess these lenses were made in time when plastic was new and hip. A big mistake for Enna. But optics are very nice. If you happen to get a sample with nicely layed elements you will make wonders with the lens. They are also easily repairable though sometimes you have to glue some parts if they broke;).

If you have nice samples I able to publish them in mflenses.com/gallery for each lenses I need 11 5-6 MP samples + one from lens itself. I can give you an ftp access to upload to me or a member gallery account if you intended to publish more lenses. Many thanks in advance!

Please, don't forget the Steinheil 100mm f2.8 Auto-Macro-Quinar
It came in Exacta and M42 mounts. All the Stinheil macro are excelents lenses, but the 100 mm is excelent plus.
