I have noticed for some months that searches return a 404 not found error.
Does Search no longer work on this website?

Works for me. I entered "searches" (without the quotes). Found this post and two others. Maybe try clearing browser cache?

I now using Firefox: no error

Works fine for me on Chrome.

The search engine is arguably not very good at searching through posts though;

E.g.:

- Using the mflenses search engine with the search term "varisoft" finds a handful of posts (a few more if you display the search as "posts" rather than "topics")
- Using the Google search engine with the search term "site:mflenses.com varisoft" finds many, many more mflenses posts that mention the term "varisoft"

Only Subjects are indexed. There is no Topics index. Thus forum search finds only Posts and Topics having search term in the Subject. Of course there are more Topics than Posts -- a Post typically has more than one Topic.

Internet search engines will find all the Topics with the search term, including Topics with search term in Signatures. Internet search engines give different results when the search term is quoted, finding only Posts with the search term in the Subject.

Just tried Search again after some months. It works now for me on Firefox, my usual browser. Many thanks to the administrator/s.
