I have not used my Primagon since last Summer-I had to take it out for some Sun. This lens never disappoints me.

I really like the first shot. Especially the colors. Primagon and some older Meyers have really special rendering of blue tones.

They do have a slight colder tone- I can say the same for the Culmigon 35mm f4.5 also.

My Primagon doesn't have the Red V or 1Q symbols. The V indicates better coatings I think and yours does look to have better flare resistance and contrast than mine, although mine is also a good lens.

Those aren't quite 100% crops, are they? If they are, then that's a nice sharp lens. I judge a lens exceptionally sharp if a 100% crop can stand as a photo on it's own.

Sometimes I wonder about the old cameras Red V, Red T & 1Q if they are consistent to and hold true for all copies/lenses. I have lenses that don't have that mark but perform equally well. I am sure others have had similar experience.
With these older lenses I am more wary of how the light falls on the subject. And since I have the added luxury to actually test shots from diff. angles and determine my best options. I have a great chance of coming up with some good photos this way . Very Happy

Almost , But not quite. Seems like a Very nice & sharp lens to me. Do they have to be 100% crops? Very Happy

A great lens, tak sharp. Not a great bokeh Sad but 3D effect despite f/4.5
Definitely a keeper.
Some (old) samples, no pp, except auto-contrast on some pictures :

Anyone know what the S inside the Traingle means on these Primagons? I see these with the red V, and those lenses usually have either the Q1 or S(triangle) markings, but never both. I know what red V and Q1 mean, but not S(triangle). Anyone know?

I'm not sure how to translate "Sonderklasse" but it may be both "Highest quality" from 12.06.1950 and sometimes as "Usual/normal quality" up to 1960.
