POTN closed permanently(sad)

It was roughly 20 years in the goings-on, but was created and run by an individual person.
That person, named Pekka Saarinen, of Finland, decided to take his life to other places.
He and his forum will be missed.

To any who question it:
Pekka rewrote the forum code to his own design a few years ago.
He decided to terminate the forum because he had examples of the same code
in some other projects of his, and releasing the code could jeopardize
security of some of his current and ongoing projects.

On another note, several of the 'regulars' of POTN created another forum
for others to migrate to, and it's become quite a good thing in a very short time.

Very sad. Back in 2008-2012, I seemed to be on most photography forums. A post on POTN is what led me onto manual lenses.

Sadly, the rise of social media has killed quite a lot off, so I rarely visit a lot of the once-busy & friendly places......including here.
