What is the first year of production? 1947? 1948?

I'm not surprised it's a good lens.

I believe beginning of 60-th. First it was used on the camera "Start". It had the jumping diaphragm, very similar to Exacta. Which I owned and used nearly the decade.

Few years later they produced it also in M39 for the fist "Zenith" cameras. Thous samples of it had been very nice indeed.

i have read , some of the early helios have used zeiss glass , it might be the case with this one? the coatings at least seem to show that also

No, for my knowledge it was case with the early Jupiter lenses.

Helios 44 was from the very beginning completely recomputed for the native optical glass.
