I have not used this lens for a while, mainly using my fix focal lenses. Just wanted to check if those fix focal lenses would not disparage the zoom.
Closed one stop and the half.

This pic is quite heavily cropped from a vertical framing image (mini tripod against a tree). About 70mm.

Nice photos with a nice lens!
I use mine often, alternating it with the Minolta MD 28-85mm lens.

Very nice, I have one - somewhere. I shall have to re visit it.

Thank you Uddhava!

Sometimes you do not have your favourite macro with you. But then this lens can still do something for you.

Thanks LLoydy for the nice words. Yes, you should wipe the dust from your lens and take her out for a spin.

I do not know if you are a full frame or APSC user but I am interested in your opinion comparing these lenses.

Underrated lens because it is soft at the long end wide open. I think that was intentional for portraiture. The soft playboy look was very much a trend in the late seventies up to the mid eighties.

Some portrait shots sharpened up to retrieve detail from under the soft veil. They have a strangely appealing character I think.
