This is my new Voigtlander Color Skopar E 21mm f/3.5. The lens is very compact on the Sony A7RII, no need for adapters. It has electronic coupling as well, very handy.

I bought it because I noticed that mostly my smallest lenses make their way into my camera bag. I quite like my Samyang T1.9 20mm, but it's fairly big and fills up almost half my camera bag. I don't need the speed either. Still, at wider apertures it's more usable IMO than a Nikkor 20 f/2.8 or other old superwides.

Here some first images:

What a clear rendering! Thank you for sharing. The lens makes also feel the air, like old German (and Soviet) Sonnars and Biogons.

Hi , the last pic is called Minolta color skopar ?
Anyway I am missing 18-21 FL lenses and 16-35 is still way to expensive for me, so , I am still into deciding what to choose from.

Yeah, I took the Skopar and Minolta 100/2.5 out on the same trip.

I can recommend the Color Skopar.

I've had the Ultron 21/1.8 before, but finally sold it because I found it too heavy and frankly don't need the speed on a super wide angle. I replaced it with a Nikkor Ai-s 20/2.8, but IMO it can't compete with modern glass (although it is still in production!). Finally ended up with the Color Skopar, which is very compact, communicates with my Sony body, has perfect build quality, and is significantly cheaper than a new Nikkor Ai-s 20/2.8. There are probably lenses that are optically better when pixel peeping, but so far very happy with the amount of detail it resolves, the color, the contrast, flare resistance etc.

The last ones really show the full potential of the lens! Impressive

Yeah, it is a good lens. It can show some CA's in the periphery wide open, but once stopped down no problem. These are handheld so not at its optimum aperture.
