Was recently gifted this. Were it not for the SD card based stills ability, I likely would not have bothered. Extremely interesting, however, despite the low pixel count...

Main point of interest here.

The camera does work. I have yet to load a card into it. It also uses tiny digital video tapes- DV seemed to be the nomenclature at the time. I've got a bit of playing around and reading to do....

Like 1 20x IS Fluorite zoom!

3CCD camcorders have pretty good color reproduction. 1.7MP is enough for social media use.

Heavy crop of first image taken from about 1 meter away.
Surprisingly good detail for the small sensor and low pixel count.
Oddly enough, my pro-book laptop computer recognizes it as an EOS camera Confused

From MFD with the microphone casting a shadow over the subject.

T.V. screen grab from the Life Below Zero series on Nat Geo.

Not sure how far I'm going to go with this. The lens is definitely interesting, and capable of performing fairly well under poor lighting and shooting conditions.

I see them listed on flea-pay from about 60.00 to 150.00 including the factory case and lens hood. Mine is missing the lens hood, and it came in a generic orange nylon video bag with charger, a/c adapter and various cables including a Canon upload cable.
