A very informal quick test:
Full frame of subject at 5.6
Crops:
f2 here.
f5.6 here
f11 here.
It looks like the sweet spot is going to be around f5.6-f8.

It's far from horrible. I guess it depends on what you want to use it for. _________________ Casual attendance these days |

It is an interesting lens to be sure.
Size-wise, it is a bit smaller than the "K" and above variant 50mm f2's that I am accustomed to.
I have a lot of reading and shooting to do where this lens is concerned, and should make an effort at aperture comparisons between the stops at f2 and f5.6, as well as some effort f8 which I haven't really tried yet.
It seems to be slightly lighter in weight than the "K" and above series as well, and handles cross-lighting admirably.

Classic rendering for sure.
I'm not a "Street" photographer, or have any interest in it, so I can't really comment there.
No put down intended- my interests simply are elsewhere.
f5.6 in fairly strong cross lighting.
These jpeg's seem to lose a lot simply by posting them here.
Almost all of the shadow detail has evaporated.
Crop for subject detail...

It renders very nicely in color as well.
Minimum focus distance and f5.6.
Tulips from the florist. I think sister is going to try and pot these if she can.
