I have both of those lenses and prefer the tamron by a mile, at least on my sony a7ii. the yashica ML is ok but can't hold a candle to the tamron. |

You can also buy the VERY VERY good BUT VERY VERY CHEAP vivitar 35/70 3.5 (komine made).. usually beetween 10 and 20$ !
The tamron 35/80 2.8/3.8 is top quality but it's distortion is enormous

It depends of the model
the 35/80 2.8/3.8 which is the best from tamron has enormous distortion, the other 35/xx from tamron have "normal" distortion but lower quality
