Here is some shots from today's walk with soviet 16mm projection lens on Sony A7. A fun lens to use, one of my favorites.

What a great visual contrast between the in-focus and OOF! This lens distorts the OOF in a different, less spiral way than French projection lenses, such as cousins Berthiot.

I know, Pierre, you let your cine and projection lenses equipped with an iris even if they don't have one. Is it the case, did you make some of the shots with the diaphragme closed down?

No, my master could not modify it with internal diaphragm as there is not enough space between the elements, plus the weird shape of the lens that does not help.

This way the result is even more impressive, as some images give an idea being taken with a closed down diaphragm. I've seen you youtube video where you commented the difficulty of helical adaptation too. Congrats for the succesful experiment and thanks for sharing!
