I picked up 3 Leica-R lenses recenly the 28, 35 and the 60 Elmarit-R. Was rather unimpressed by the 28 and the 35, compared to my existing Minolta glass, but the 60 Macro is something special.

I am curious as if anyone has shot an Elmar-M late model on a sony A7R2, and wondering how ""Bad" the corners are wide open. Googling and flickering haven't turned up anything on this combo.

Don't expect good in corners at wo. Tessar/Elmar is not design to give sharp corners at all F numbers.

With my skopar 2,8/50 at F/11, I found the corners sharp enought

Check its MTF here:

And compare with other (older) Leica lenses:

I would say it looks pretty good at f8, with exception of the extreme corners (outermost 2-3mm).
