After my beloved Zorki 4, I just received a Fed 3 (and a Zenit 3m is on its way).

[RANT] As most of the items I buy second-hand on the Bay, it is dirty Sad [/RANT]

All speeds (even the slow ones) are working BUT ... I joined Jesito and Nelson, the lens has some fungus Sad

Time to disassemble the Industar 61. A pity, as it didn't need relubing ...

Oh well, that's part of the fun, I guess Very Happy

Sorry to say so, but... Welcome to the fungus club!
Congrats with the acquisition. It looks very pretty.

I'm still waiting for an answer from the seller, so I cannot unmount the camera to clean the fungus until I get feedback from eBay.

If you're not satified with the lens, maybe you should open a claim at eBay.
Maybe you can recover the money and get a better one.

Jes.

The camera is fine and the lens is not really a fungus farm like your's .. I won't start a war for 22 euros Smile

I just need to get (or make, like you did) a lens spanner to open the Industar.

Congrats, Jieffe!

I expect your impressions of this new Fed compared to your Zorki.

Damn, I'm still waiting for the Zorki 4K and the Jupiter 8 to come. It should be here this week.

The first roll with the Zorki showed me that the J8 is really a nice lens .. and also that I needed to recalibrate the rangefinder.

Now that it is done, I loaded a second roll of film, maybe I'll have time this weekend to test it.

As a quick comparison between the Fed and the Zorki, I can already say that the viewfinder is better on the Zorki (big and bright). The FED gives me the feeling I'm looking through a submarine periscope.

I can recommend these: Click here to see on Ebay...
They cost me 23,48€ (shipping included), maybe a little sturdy but useful. (I've no fear of breaking them... Wink ).
